Nintendo has been busy lately, its ever-growing library of classic Nintendo games to expand on the switch. More and more retro masterpieces are being added, most recently joined by the new NES and SNES gamesthe Nintendo 64 classic Mario Golf. All this is available to subscribers of Switch Online with expansion pack on your console for free. It could be getting even more nostalgic for those subscribers, as rumors have surfaced that Nintendo is planning to Include Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games in the Service.
Will Game Boy games come to the Switch anytime soon?
Leaks claim that Nintendo is working on reviving very old classics. In this context, various dataminers on Twitter published screenshots of game lists with Game Boy or Game Boy Advance titles that Emulators called Hiyoko and Sloop tested for the Switch. The emulators were reportedly developed by Nintendo’s in-house team in Europe.
Tested various Game Boy Advance titles for the Switch
According to the Twitter user “Mondo_Mega”, there have already been several Game Boy Advance games tested with sloop. The user posted a long list of promising titles. Among them were among others Golden Sun, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Metroide Fusion, Metroid: Zero Mission, Mario vs Donkey Kong, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.
Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald for the Game Boy Advance are not included in the list, but there is evidence that they were also tested.
