Microsoft has marked version 21H2 of Windows 10 as ready for general use. First and foremost, this is a signal for companies and follows the usual timetable, but it also has an impact on end customers.

Version 21H2 was released in November 2021. The fact that Microsoft is only now marking it as “finished”, so to speak, has nothing to do with any major problems, but follows the usual process: four months after release, a Windows version is given this status, provided there are no reasons speaking against it . So “business as usual” and still a bit strange, since nothing has changed in the substructure of Windows 10 for two years now and unexpected problems can no longer occur.

For companies, this announcement means Windows Release Health Boardthat they can start rolling out version 21H2 with immediate effect. In addition, this version will now also be distributed to end customers as an automatic update, but as usual this will take place in several waves.
