Chad is set to receive its first Israeli ambassador in fifty years, marking what Israel called “an important milestone” in relations between the two countries. Ben Bourgel, an non-resident ambassador to numerous African countries including Senegal, presented his credentials to Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno on Tuesday.
