Exploding Kittens is a card game developed by Elan Lee, Shane Small and Matthew Inman – the creator of The Oatmeal. It was released in 2015 after a Kickstarter campaign and has since received a couple of expansions and become so popular that you can find it in many regular stores.
Now Netflix makes both TV and mobile games of the game. Explosing Kittens – The Game will be a new game in the streaming giant’s so far rather meager investment in mobile games. It is simply the usual card game that you can play with friends online, and also gets two new cards (one that reveals where the next exploding kitten is in the game and one that changes the order of the cards).
The series is simply called Exploding Kittens and the roles include Tom Ellis, Abraham Lim, Lucy Liu, Ally Maki, Mark Proksch and Sasheer Zamata.
It will be released next year and executive produced by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. The series will be about “the eternal conflict between heaven and hell” and what happens when god and the devil are sent to earth in the form of cats.
