According to official data, the average download rate of my country’s fixed broadband network has increased by 17.2% year-on-year. In addition, the comprehensive average download rate of mobile broadband users in my country using 4G and 5G networks to access the Internet reached 59.34 Mbit/s, an increase of 25.57 Mbit/s over the same period in 2020, and a year-on-year increase of 75.7%.

According to the Broadband Development Alliance, currently,my country has achieved full coverage of optical fiber networks in all urban and rural areas, and is accelerating into the era of gigabit optical networks, the gigabit optical network has covered more than 300 million households, and nearly 100 million households have broadband users of 500M and above. In terms of mobile broadband network, 1.388 million 5G base stations have been built and opened, and 5G mobile phone users have reached 384 million.

In terms of the comprehensive download rate of 4G and 5G networks for mobile broadband users, Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Guangdong, and Chongqing ranked the top five in the country’s provincial administrative regions.
