Sega set us on fire last May by organizing an event called Sonic Central. The Japanese publisher made three announcements to appropriately celebrate the 25th anniversary of its mascot, but only the disappointing Sonic Colors Ultimate saw the light almost a year later. We were warned about Sonic Frontier, an ambitious project that should not see the light of day before the end of the year.
On the other hand, one would have thought that Sonic Origins would have heard from him fairly quickly considering that this is a compilation of old episodes. A rather light development therefore, even if the editor promised us some small new improvements, in particular on Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles which will be offered in 16/9.
It will therefore have been necessary to wait for a registration with the South Korean classification body and a visual released with a little advance on the PlayStation Store to learn that the project is still relevant. Two elements that also suggest that Sega should communicate officially in the coming days, with a release that should not take too long.
