Jeff Grubb believes it will be released this winter.
Need the first The Last of Us-played a remake? When we asked that question here on FZ, the answer was a resounding no, but as you know, a TV series is on its way, so maybe it can be motivated to give new and old fans something to put their teeth into. It should be added that the remake in question is still just a rumor, but one that has received backing from many different quarters.
Now the master leaker Jeff Grubb is also joining the choir by saying that he has heard from several sources that the remake will be released this winter (holidays). The statement was made in the game show Kinda Funny Games, and Grubb added that he feels pretty sure that this release window is correct.
The Last of Us is now nine years old, but also got a remastered version for Playstation 4 in 2014. The upcoming TV series will in turn be filmed in full, but we now know that it will not premiere in 2022.
