Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt have not only qualified for the Champions League next season but Wednesday’s 5-4 penalty shoot-out win over Rangers has earned them an appearance in the Super Cup. Eintracht will take on either Real Madrid or Liverpool, who contest the Champions League final in Paris on May 28, in Finland’s capital Helsinki on August 10. However, they are likely to be second favourites in the tie only Atletico Madrid, in 2018, lifting the Super Cup from the Europa League side in the last nine years.
