After some more or less decent attempts – March: War Logs, Bound by Flame – Spiders got a wider breakthrough with Greedfall. In other words, a sequel felt given, which is now confirmed by Spiders and publisher Nacon. Spiders Jehanne Rousseau confirms in press release:
While we were working on Steelrising, our love of the Greedfall universe never faded, and so we are thrilled to be returning to it. In this new chapter, players will explore the old continent with its bigger and more diverse environments. They will meet new companions and new factions, and I hope they will have unforgettable adventures.
Yep, Spiders is, as you know, in full swing Steelrisingwhich was recently delayed until September.
It remains to be seen whether Greedfall 2 delayed, but at present it is planned to release in 2023 to PC and “consoles”. Despite the second in the title, the game is a prequel, which takes place three years before the original. Info is scarce, while pictures and trailer are equal to zero. We have to hold on.
