Recall this case was forced by a funny episode that recently occurred in the Chinese city of Zhumadian, Henan province. There was a buyer who came to the store for a brand new smartphone, not with banknotes or a handful of coins, but with a trifle with a total weight of 100 kg.

The total number of coins was 68 thousand units, and it took 6 hours to count them. It took more than a dozen salesmen and two bank employees to count the mountain of change. They definitely don’t have patience. It is interesting that paying for a mobile phone with a change has become a tradition for this Chinese. In 2014, he bought himself a brand new phone, paying for it with 10-cent coins.

Many stores then refused to accept a change, but the persistent buyer still managed to find a point of sale where the purchase was not refused. And now, after eight years, he again showed up at the same store with change to buy a brand new smartphone. Leaving the store, he stated that he still had a lot of change and that perhaps next time he would spend it on a laptop.
