The Panthers are a logical landing spot for the former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick. Carolina is without a longterm answer at the quarterback position, as Sam Darnold disappointed under center last year. Mayfield is far from a guaranteed upgrade, but his NFL resume is still more impressive than Darnold’s.
