IT House news on April 18, according to Windows Latest reports, in Windows 11 , Microsoft said it would refocus on the famed operating system. As part of efforts to increase Windows adoption, Microsoft moved some Windows development under the control of Panos Panay, and the Developer Experience team is now part of the main “Windows team.”

The original big Windows split into consumer/enterprise editions, Azure didn’t work as planned,Windows 10 development has also slowed. Windows has been on the back burner over the past few years, and the company has made some small improvements to the operating system.

Windows remains an important part of the Microsoft ecosystem, and the company is now again pushing Windows for software innovation. That’s because the company has seen a huge user base in the wake of the pandemic, and the launch of the new operating system comes after remote work boosted the PC market.

Later this year, Microsoft will start rolling out version Windows 11 22H2 or Sun Valley 2. This update will be similar to Windows 10’s Anniversary Update. In other words, Microsoft is clearly working on another major update for the Windows 11 operating system.

We’ve already seen references to “version 23H2” in Microsoft documentation, and a second reference to “Sun Valley 3” or “SV3” has now appeared in Microsoft Webcasts.

As the screenshot shows, the PowerPoint Live note mentions “SV3 Refined Investments Next Step,” confirming our speculation that Microsoft isn’t planning to drop the Sun Valley codename for now.

The reference point for the “fine investments” in Windows 11, which we’ll start to see come alive in the second half of 2022 with the release of the Copper/23H2 preview, as Microsoft is expected to begin testing significant Changes in the next version.

Windows Insiders have been expecting to hear more about plans to test the next development branch of Windows 11 on real hardware after Microsoft started releasing builds to the Beta Channel, and while the company hasn’t publicly confirmed anything yet, they’re preparing for internal testing .

What to expect from Windows 11 “Sun Valley 3”

It’s too early to talk about new features coming next year, but Sun Valley 3 will likely address the shortcomings of the new taskbar and tablet experience. As you probably know, Windows 11 doesn’t have a full-fledged taskbar or tablet mode, but that might change next year.

Microsoft is reported to be making major improvements to the taskbar and tablet mode, which are now expected to roll out next year.
