9to5mac has published new data on the next generation of the watchOS 9 operating system for Apple Watch. It will open access to new features of the company’s watches.
When released:
- The presentation will take place at WWDC 2022 in June
- The release is scheduled for September immediately after the new Apple Watch models go on sale.
Which watch models will receive an updated operating system:
- Apple Watch Series 7
- Apple Watch Series 6
- Apple Watch SE
- Apple Watch Series 5
- Apple Watch Series 4
- Apple Watch Series 3
What innovations will we see:
- Detection of symptoms of atrial fibrillation
- A low power mode that allows you to use apps and features. This is an extension of the Power Reserve switch
- Satellite connection
- Updated sleep analysis function
- New women’s health tracking and medication tracking features in the Health app
- New training modes
- New and updated old watch faces
