In Episode 594 of the buffedCast, Karsten and Phil not only talk about the opinions of the community regarding WoW Dragonflight and the faction imbalance that continues to tilt. The two also discuss the sale of some of Square Enix’s brands and studios, Sony’s new plans for Playstation Plus and the postponement of Starfield.
While the opinions on WoW: Shadowlands were still very different, they are much closer together when it comes to the upcoming WoW expansion Dragonflight – in positive terms. So far we’ve been wondering if we’re the only ones who are very positive about the future of WoW. we are not as you proved in our survey – and that’s what Karsten and Phil talk about in the first part of buffedCast 594. They also ask themselves whether and what Blizzard is finally doing against the extinction of the alliance and whether the illegal booster communities are really that bad. And of course the two also talk about the excitement of the week: Blizzard’s diversity tool, with which the developers have once again jumped head over heels.
Then the two chat about the Embracer Group, which has absorbed large parts of Square Enix’s western business – including brands like Tomb Raider and Deus Ex. That too newly introduced PS Plus is discussed in detail. Can it compete with Game Pass – and does it even want to? At the end the two moan a little, that Starfield was postponed. A game that both have high hopes for, but that they won’t be able to play until 2023 at the earliest.
