In addition to the launch of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, there is a new price tip on the CPU market with the 5700X. If the space on the SSD should run out, an SSD with 200 TB will soon provide a remedy. Furthermore, we can announce the happy news of falling graphics card prices. This is the PCGH news of the week.

From now on, the PCGH News of the week will always be published on Fridays!

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D

Intel presented the Core i9-12900KS, now AMD is coming with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and wants to know. The eight-core uses the new 3D V-Cache and, according to AMD, is the fastest gaming processor in the world. Yes, that’s really true what our test showed. You can find the full review of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D on PCGH.de.

Ryzen 7 5700X: 1st place in the CPU charts in a price comparison

At Mindfactory, the eight-core cost only 298 euros and was in the PCGH price comparison number 1 for many days. But what actually makes the 5700X so cool? Our test is still pending, but it can only be exciting because, in contrast to the 5800X, a 5700X relies on a smaller energy budget of only 65 watts, which solves the heat problems of the 5800X. In addition, the 5700X clocks only 200 MHz lower, so it brings almost the same performance to the road, and it’s cheaper too!

200 TB SSD in 2022?

The SSD with the largest capacity available so far is scheduled to appear this year – 200 terabytes. Techradar reports this exclusively and refers to a statement by the CEO of Nimbus. From this and from an interview from 2020 one concludes that it will be a 200 terabyte model. The model was once expected for 2021, but then the corona crisis intervened and the plans were postponed. In the meantime, no one wanted to confirm whether the new SSD will be in the form factor 3.5 inches or smaller. As expected, nothing is said about the interface or the memory type used.

Prices for RX 6700 XT and RX 6800 are falling

Anyone who wants to buy a graphics card has been benefiting from steadily falling prices for a long time – admittedly from a very high level. If you are interested in an RX 6700 XT or RX 6800, you can even look forward to price reductions of up to 120 euros, mind you within a week, as our Radeon market overview of the cheapest RX 6500 to RX 6900 XT shows. One graphics card manufacturer has turned the price screw in particular: XFX provides the cheapest graphics cards in almost all categories of our Radeon market overview.
