Previously, Apple did not allow developers to increase the cost of subscriptions for users who use auto-renewal. They were required to immediately notify the price change.
You can now increase the price of a subscription in the App Store without the user’s immediate consent. However, there are some limitations:
one. The user will still receive a notification, but by mail or in a push notification
2. You can only raise the price once a year.
3. For a regular subscription, you can increase the price by $5, and for an annual subscription – by $50
4. The user is still required to confirm acceptance of the increased price before the next charge for the subscription
If necessary, the subscription can be canceled just as easily as now. [9to5]
