With a redesign of the Apple Music widgets, Beats for Android adds some widgets that allow you to quickly control your headphones from the home screen, and the companion app also introduces Find My Beats.
Update 4/16: Version 2.5.5 of Beats for Android is now available on Google Play with new widgets and Find My Beats.
The two widgets are functionally identical, one above the other. You can’t manually resize them – they will span the width of your screen, and the dark background persists across any device theme.
It contains the product name, device image, and battery status. The left and right kidneys are shown side by side, with the percentage of cases shown in the middle.
Original 4/12: The Beats app allows you to connect your headphones and update them when new firmware becomes available. There are controls to turn ANC on/off with one touch and link two speakers together.
You already get a notification that lets you quickly see each component’s battery percentage, and this information is now available as a widget on the Android desktop. An analogue of the system widget “Battery” on iOS.
Meanwhile, the new Find My Beats feature will mark the location whenever your headphones are disconnected from your paired phone. These last connected GPS coordinates are then displayed using Apple Maps if you ever lose them. This simple mechanism is designed and works with all current Beats products.

This is because the Studio Buds in particular already support the Google Find My Device app and the Fast Pair system, but now you can also use Locate My Beats with them. On iPhone and iPad, Beats products work with the wider Find My network.
The Beats app has rarely been updated to the latest version (2.5.1) since mid-January. To date, Apple has yet to release a new update that adds widgets and a Find My Beats feature.
