IT House reported on April 17 that Intel is about to launch a new Alder Lake-HX processor with higher specifications than the current Alder Lake-H, reaching 16 cores and 24 threads. According to Twitter user “Emerald_x86”, Dell’s new Precision mobile workstations will be powered by Alder Lake-HX processors.

As shown in the picture above, the upgraded version of Dell’s new 7760 mobile workstation will be equipped with Alder Lake-HX series processors, optional i7 to i9, 55W basic power consumption, graphics cards optional NVIDIA RTX 3080 and RTX A5000 professional graphics cards, and a Intel’s yet-to-be-released DG2 graphics are optional.
IT House learned that the current Alder Lake-H has a maximum specification of 14 cores and 20 threads and a base power consumption of 45W. The new Alder Lake-HX is expected to have a maximum of 16 cores and 24 threads and a base power consumption of 55W. In addition, the nuclear display specification of the Alder Lake-HX series has been reduced from the original maximum 96EU to 32EU. The Alder Lake-HX series processors are expected to be used in flagship gaming laptops and professional mobile workstations from various manufacturers.
