Asus router login

Follow these three steps and you will be quickly logged in to your Asus router.

1. You can access your Asus router from any browser. It is an advantage if you are connected via ethernet when you log in so that you do not risk losing settings if the wifi connection is broken, restarts or needs to log in again if you change the password to wifi in the admin interface.

2. The default IP address for logging in to your Asus router is 192.168.1.1 as you simply type in the browser bar and press enter.

3. You will now see a box asking you to log in. If you have not made any changes since you purchased your Asus router, then the username is admin and the password as well admin. (We recommend that the first thing you do after logging in is change your password.)

If you are unable to log in to the Asus router, forgot your password, or the IP address does not work, then it may be worth doing a factory reset to see if that solves the problem. On the back of (most) routers you will find the reset button. Hold down until the lights one or more lights flash and indicate that the factory reset is complete. In the picture: Asus RT-AX53U.

When you forgot the login

Should the IP address not work, or if you have changed and forgotten your password, then there is an emergency action to take: Reset your Asus router login by factory reset the router. To do this, press and hold a button on the router. On most routers, it is indicated when you can release the button by one or more lights starting to flash.

If the IP address does not work, but you do not want to factory reset the router, you can use the command prompt in Windows to find the IP address. Enter ipconfig in the command prompt to retrieve the IP addresses used and locate the correct address to be able to log in to your Asus router.
