Activision Blizzard has agreed to cooperate with regulators investigating insider trading.

An investigation appears to be underway to determine whether investors who knew CEO Bobby Kotick were trading in the company’s stock prior to the announcement of the deal with Microsoft.

The Securities and Exchange Commission, which enforces the securities regulations, made related inquiries to Activision Blizzard along with a subpoena from the Department of Justice.

In a statement, Activision assured the authorities of its full cooperation in the investigation, which wants to clarify whether insider trading was carried out before the announcement.

“Activision Blizzard has informed these authorities that it intends to be fully cooperative in these investigations.”
