Apple is in active discussions with the Chinese government to reopen production lines from suppliers that were closed due to the new outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.

According to TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company is trying to resume production from next week. He also notes that Apple’s active talks likely mean it’s seeing strong demand for its products.

Recall that earlier this week, the Chinese authorities announced another lockdown, due to which almost all major Apple suppliers, including Foxconn, Pegatron, Quanta and Compal, suspended their work.
