Under the saddle, behind the water bottle… there are few discreet places on a bike where you can hide an AirTag. The specialized props Muc-Off proposes to conceal the beacon inside the tire itself. Impossible then to guess his presence. However, this only works with tubeless tires (where the inner tube is integrated) since a significant amount of space must be left for the AirTag.

Apple’s beacon is placed at the top of the inflation valve, protected from shocks by a cap in the shape of a mushroom head. According to the manufacturer, six months of tests on varied soils where the tire was not spared showed that the system was viable for the beacon. Muc-Off recommends installation in the rear wheel, perhaps likely to total less shocks than at the front.

You can buy the support with a valve for 43 € or the support alone to be installed later on a valve for 20 €. The brand is sold by Amazon but not yet these two accessories.

Muc-Off had previously designed a holder for the AirTag, this time intended to fit between the frame and the water canister. This other “Secure Tag Holder” is sold 40 €.
