This week, insider Dusk Golem leaked images said to be from the 2020 build of a new Silent Hill title. As he now reports, the title was originally supposed to be released in October 2021. However, the COVID-19 pandemic threw a spanner in the works for the developers here.

After rumors about a possible new “Silent Hill” title have been circulating over the past few months, it seemed to be getting more concrete this week. The leaker and insider Dusk Golem published supposed images of a new “Silent Hill” that are supposed to show a build from 2020.

The fact that the images were blocked due to copyright claims on platforms such as Twitter spoke for the authenticity of the images. Following the release of the images, Dusk Golem has now followed up, pointing out that his sources have confirmed that the new Silent Hill title was originally scheduled for release in October 2021.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated move to the home office threw a spanner in the works for the developers and, according to the unconfirmed information, led to the project in question being postponed.

Official unveiling already for the foreseeable future?

Dusk Golem also pointed out that the official unveiling of the title can apparently be expected “soon”. An official statement from Konami or Sony Interactive Entertainment on the current rumors is still pending, but recently there seemed to be increasing evidence that several new projects based on the “Silent Hill” brand are currently being worked on.
