RBC reports that in Russia, since the beginning of 2022, specialists with knowledge of the Chinese language have become in high demand. According to a study by job search platform Headhunter and multi-service logistics operator PEK, further growth is predicted due to the reorientation of business towards Asia.
It is noted that only in April the number of such vacancies almost doubled compared to the same period last year. The largest number of specialists with knowledge of the Chinese language is required in the field of logistics, retail, IT companies, the production and sale of household appliances and electronics, the production and sale of non-food consumer goods and the supply of business services. The most in-demand professions are translators, sales and account managers, purchasing managers and project managers.
According to the SuperJob service, knowledge of English is the most useful for a career consider 54% of Russians. At the same time, this number decreased by 6% compared to the last year’s survey. But the number of respondents who are inclined towards the benefits of Chinese has almost doubled – from 5 to 11%.
