The official pointed out that the complete success of the Shenzhou 13 manned flight mission marks the perfect conclusion of the mission of the key technology verification phase of the space station.

Hao Chun, director of the China Manned Space Engineering Office, said that the Shenzhou 13 crew spent a total of 183 days in orbit, setting a record for the longest continuous in-orbit flight time for Chinese astronauts. He also reviewed the main process of the Shenzhou 13 mission at the meeting: On October 16, 2021, the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft was launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, docked with the core module of the space station, and three astronauts Enter the core compartment. • Launched the Tianzhou-4 cargo spacecraft in May;

• In June, the Shenzhou 14 manned spacecraft was launched, and 3 astronauts were stationed in the core module and stayed in orbit for 6 months;

• In July, the space station Wentian experimental module was launched and docked with the Tianhe core module;

• In October, the Mengtian experimental module was launched and docked with the core module. After that, the three modules of the space station formed a “T” basic configuration, and the orbital construction of the Chinese space station was completed;

In addition, we will launch the Tianzhou-5 cargo spacecraft and the Shenzhou-15 manned spacecraft. The Shenzhou 15 flight crew consists of three astronauts, who will stay in orbit for 6 months after rotating in orbit with the Shenzhou 14 astronauts.

It is worth mentioning that the astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu, who have just successfully completed the Shenzhou 13 manned flight mission, arrived in Beijing safely on the afternoon of April 16, 2022 by the mission plane.

After arriving in Beijing, the three astronauts will enter a medical isolation period, undergo a comprehensive medical examination and health assessment, and arrange for rest and recuperation.

The Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on October 16, 2021, and then docked with the Tianhe core module to form a combination.
