Smilegate’s MMORPG Lost Ark is still quite popular among MMO enthusiasts. Meanwhile, publisher Amazon Games released some updates that brought some new content to the game. Below is a new continent and also the right to publish controversial Abyss Raid Argos. With the new May update, which is scheduled to be released on May 19th, the first Legion raid is finally coming to our western version of the game. In other regions, the MMORPG was able to constantly increase its number of players, as numerous players found the rather demanding Legion raids extremely appealing. So it’s quite possible that with the new update, Lost Ark will also be able to consolidate its position as one of the most popular MMOs in our country, to compete with giants such as Final Fantasy 14.
With the new update, the new warrior class Destroyer comes into play. This patch is the largest ever released for our version of the game, and there’s a lot of work to do. We would therefore like to give you a little help and explain how you can best prepare for the release day of the patch.
New Destroyer class is coming to Lost Ark
For one thing, some players will naturally want to try out the new class. Unfortunately, it has already been confirmed that we will not receive another power pass or similar event that can quickly bring the new class into the third content tier. While that’s a bit of a shame, there are still a few things that can speed up your progress. For example, with knowledge transfer on your island, you can level the Destroyer directly to level 50 in exchange for a small amount of gold. If you have played through the different continents with enough characters, you can even easily skip them. However, it is much more important that you already created a warrior and did not select a specialization for it yet. As a result, your new character already accumulates the recovery bonus, which means that you can then complete the chaos dungeons and guardian raids with a bonus of 100 on the day the destroyer is released. This gives you a small boost for the most important materials right at the beginning.
Start preparing for the new PvE content now
Furthermore, the new continent of South Vern is finally getting its own set of chaos dungeons and guardian raids. However, these are only available from an item level of 1415, just like the normal version of the Legion raid Valtan. If you have one or more characters at this item level, it’s definitely worth stopping doing Chaos Dungeons and Guardian Raids until the patch releases. Namely, this will give you the Recovery Bonus, which grants you some additional rewards in the new PvE content. The most interesting here are the new ones Accessories and armor items with relic quality. These give far better bonuses than the previous legendary items, for example the armor tripods can now spawn at level 4. Especially to Release of the new patch, these items will probably be traded quite expensively in the auction house, which is why you can earn a pretty penny in gold with this. Of course, the more characters and recovery bonuses you have, the more gold you can win with this.
Additionally, you can start farming the Orbs of Obsession right now. You get this for completing a chaos dungeon after your two daily entries have been used up. Orbs can be used to purchase various items from a vendor, including the relic items mentioned. So if you want to earn a bunch of gold, it’s definitely worth completing a few more chaos dungeons.
Useful items for Legion raid Valtan
Of course, you should also be as prepared as possible for the new Legion raid. If you’re equipped with a full set of level 5 gems, three level 3 engravings, the appropriate attributes, and a fairly solid card set, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a group for Valtan. Also, consumables are pretty useful in this raid, such as fire grenades and demolition bombs. Many players will certainly have a whole arsenal of different items that they have not really been able to use before. For the first few weeks of the Valtan raid, these will probably be almost necessary to guarantee a successful conclusion.
You still have a little time until the release on May 19, 2022 to prepare yourself perfectly for patch day. If you start collecting your recovery bonus today. you are perfectly equipped on Thursday. Will you try the new raid directly on May 19th? Or haven’t you reached the required item level yet?
