The world’s largest manufacturer of civilian drones, DJI, has introduced the new Mini 3 Pro. The new drone should convince customers with 4K videos at 60 fps, focus track and other features.
In Germany were alone used 385,500 drones by private individuals and 45,200 drones for commercial use in March 2021. New sensors ensure more functions
The new compact drone, which weighs just 249 grams, can fly for a maximum of 34 minutes. The flight distance must not exceed 18 kilometers, at least when there is no wind and a constant speed of 43.2 km/h. The manufacturer specifies 10.7 m/s as wind resistance. The new camera can record 4K videos at a frame rate of 60 fps. For this purpose, the camera system has an aperture of f/1.7 and can also take photos with up to 48 megapixels.
If you want, you can rotate the built-in camera by 90 degrees and create vertical shots for Instagram, for example. In order to avoid collisions with obstacles as much as possible, DJI installed sensors in three directions. With the sensors at the front and bottom, seamless coverage should be achieved so that route planning is easier. The APAS 4.0 assistance system is celebrating its premiere, which is designed to automatically recognize obstacles during flight and find a safe way around them.
A first for the Mini series is Focus Track mode, where the user can choose a subject and the Mini 3 Pro chooses a safe flight path while always keeping the subject centered in the frame. DJI is offering a new remote control to match the new drone. The Mini 3 Pro uses the proprietary O3 transmission technology, which offers a live image in full HD from a distance of up to 12 kilometers. The DJI RC remote control has an integrated 5.5-inch touchscreen and the DJI Fly control app installed, so that the Mini 3 Pro can also be flown without a smartphone.
