Apple is testing nine Macs with different specs based on the M2 chip. This was announced by Bloomberg insider Mark Gurman, reports Digital Trends.
Perhaps this summer or autumn we will see as many as nine devices based on this chip. WWDC conference will take place this summer, then two more presentations are expected in autumn.
However, not everything is so simple, perhaps we will see fewer models. Several devices will belong to the same model range at once, but differ from each other in terms of characteristics. For example, the MacBook Air on the M1 is sold in two versions of the processor – with nine cores in the minimum configuration and with ten in the medium and maximum.
What devices can we see this year:
- Updated MacBook Air with 9- and 10-core processors, depending on configuration
- Two Mac minis with M2 and M2 Pro processors
- MacBook Pro 13 with M2 processor
- MacBook Pro 14 with M2 Pro and M2 Max
- MacBook Pro 16 with M2 Pro and M2 Max
- Mac Pro with M1 Ultra
