The Youtube channels “RedGamingTech” and “Zhongzheng Evaluation” have revealed unconfirmed data on AMD’s upcoming Raphael CPUs based on Zen 4. According to this, the flagship, the “Ryzen 9 7950X”, should come up with either 16 or 24 cores and a clock speed of 5.4 GHz.

As has been rumored by several sources, the processors of AMD’s next Ryzen generation, codenamed Raphael and Zen 4, are to be presented as architecture in September of this year or even come onto the market. There are still a few months until autumn, but the rumor mill is known to never stand still. Because the two YouTube channels “RedGamingTech” and “Zhongzheng Evaluation”, both of which are focused on hardware and the latter of which comes from China, now want to have exact data on the number of cores and the clock rates of the upcoming Ryzen 7000 CPUs.

Four models with cores, clock speeds and prices

Both channels assume that there will be at least four variants of Raphael CPUs. While RedGamingTech only talks about the number, Zhongzheng Evaluation names the models according to the usual scheme: Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7800X and Ryzen 5 7600X. With AMD’s flagship processor “Ryzen 9 7950X”, rumors have so far been based on 16 cores and 32 threads, which AMD would keep with it. The new source from China now brings 24 cores and 48 threads into play. The YouTubers also have data on the clock rate of the Zen 4 flagship. The Ryzen 9 7950X is said to be able to clock at 5.4 GHz, which would confirm that AMD wants to break the 5 GHz limit. Compared to the Zen 3 counterpart, the Ryzen 9 5950X, this would be an increase of about 10 percent.

Furthermore, several things should be considered likely. On the one hand, a TDP of 125 to 170 W for the “24-core” and on the other hand, a wealth of variants in the models. It is assumed that there will be a model with 16 cores in favor of the clock frequency and a model with 24 cores at the expense of the clock frequency. The price is meanwhile the equivalent of 900 US dollars. Technical data and prices are also thrown into the room for the three other models mentioned. Read more about this below:

Ryzen 9 7900X

  • Cores/Threads: 16c/32t or 12c/24t.
  • Turbo clock: up to 5.3 GHz.
  • Price: the equivalent of 650 US dollars.
  • TDP: 105 to 170W

Ryzen 7 7800X

  • Cores/Threads: 8c/16t.
  • Turbo clock: up to 5.2 GHz.
  • Price: the equivalent of 500 US dollars.
  • TDP: 105W

Ryzen 5 7600X

  • Cores/Threads: 6c/12t.
  • Turbo clock: up to 5.1 GHz.
  • Price: the equivalent of 350 US dollars.
  • TDP: 65W
