Will “Arma Reforger” be announced tomorrow? Marketing material containing some initial information was leaked shortly before the planned showcase for the future of the series. Nothing has been confirmed (yet).

Bohemia will be one tomorrow, May 17, 2022 Host The Future of Arma presentationin which the developer wants to talk about the future of the shooter series.

While many players are waiting for the announcement of “Arma 4”, another game seems to be the focus at first. Over the weekend, information leaked out about a game called Arma Reforger. They come from an unverified marketing guide that surfaced on the internet. This means that the information should be treated with caution.



According to the leak, “Arma Reforger” is set on a fictional island called Everon, located in the Atlantic Ocean. Nearby is another fictional “Armaverse” island called Malden. Players are timed to an “alternate 1989” in which a conflict erupts between US and Soviet forces.

Military simulation game instead of simulator

“Arma Reforger” is described as a “military simulation game” but is not intended to be a real “simulator”. This could indicate that Bohemia is paying a little more attention to accessibility when developing the game.

Key features according to the marketing guide:

  • 1980s Cold War setting
  • Scene covers about 52 square kilometers
  • Multiplayer modes with competitive and cooperative challenges
  • Spacious battles with infantry
  • Logistics and communications on the battlefield
  • Scenario editor, multiplatform workshop and full modding support

The guide also states that “Arma Reforger” will feature three factions, six different vehicle types with 18 variations, 15 different weapons, two types of grenades and 13 combat roles.

The Marketing Guide also mentions Bohemia’s continued collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross, which was already a focus with the Laws of War DLC for Arma 3. The series will continue to cultivate the series’ features that have an “anti-war humanitarian focus” by continuing to “expose, disseminate and promote international humanitarian law in the game”.



“Arma Reforger” is aimed at a new and console-oriented audience. According to the marketing guide, a release for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC is planned. A premium product with a “reasonable price” is mentioned.

DLCs ​​and microtransactions are currently not planned. At the same time, the game is intended to test new technologies and design decisions in order to lay the foundations for “Arma 4”.
