The search engine DuckDuckGo has removed search results for various torrents such as The Pirate Bay, 1337x and Limetorrents as well as streaming sites that do not have pure flour in the bag. Search results for tools that can download YouTube clips or turn YouTube clips into MP3s have also been removed.
DuckDuckGo has not yet given an official answer as to why they did this, but TorrentFreak writes that it is probably a matter of defending themselves against possible legal action.
