Opera today announced the release of the new Crypto Browser for iOS. The browser, which is already available for Mac, Windows and Android, provides “convenient” access to Web3 services and even has a built-in crypto wallet.
As Opera highlights, the Web3 standard, which is a new iteration of the Internet based on blockchain technology, has expanded significantly in recent years. This prompted the company to invest in a dedicated web browser for the new online world, especially as more and more ordinary users show interest in cryptocurrencies and other decentralized platforms.
Interest in Web3 continues to grow. The Opera Crypto Browser project was created to simplify the Web3 user experience, which often confuses ordinary users. Opera believes that Web3 must be easy to use in order to reach its full potential and be mainstreamed.

The iOS version of Crypto Browser contains features that desktop and Android users are already familiar with. The browser includes a crypto wallet with support for the Ethereum, Polygon and Celo ecosystems – with more blockchain integrations in the future. The browser also allows users to buy, sell, and transfer blockchain tokens, as well as access Web3-based NFTs directly.
Opera Crypto Browser also comes with cryptocurrency mining protection, so it blocks “cryptojacking” scripts that can compromise your iPhone or iPad’s performance while browsing the web.
Now users can free download cryptobrowser Opera in the App Store. This requires a device running iOS 13 or later.
