These small Bluetooth beacons relying on the large network Locate from Apple were a promise never to lose your keys or your head again. But no question of using it to track anything other than personal effects, warned the manufacturer. A year later, where are the AirTags? We take stock.
A largely respected autonomy
First, after a year, do AirTags still work? The question arises, because Apple announces ” more than a year “ of autonomy, but without more precision. The answer is yes, a year later AirTags still work with their original battery.
Of the ten AirTags used by the MacGeneration team for almost 12 months, almost all have an autonomy of around 70%. At this rate, the CR2032 battery will only need to be changed in two years.
