With the ROG Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe, Asus has introduced a new keyboard that, apart from the core features, should primarily score with three different connectivity modes. The ROG Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe can be connected to end devices either wired via USB, wirelessly using a 2.4 GHz receiver or via Bluetooth 5.2.

The second option should convince with a “near-zero latency” and a long runtime of up to 76 hours even with active RGB lighting. If you switch off the LEDs, you should get by with a full 137 hours on one charge. If the associated radio receiver is not in use, it can be safely stowed away in a recess on the back of the keyboard. The scope of delivery also includes an extender to optionally shorten the distance between the receiver and the keyboard, which can result in a better connection quality.

The alternative wireless connection via Bluetooth makes sense when several devices are to be operated at the same time. Up to three simultaneous connections are possible with this option, including on-the-fly changes.

Typing is done on opto-mechanical switches from Asus’ own production. To be more precise, the manufacturer uses its own ROG RX Red switches with RGB lighting. Asus calls it a trigger point of 1.5 mm and an initial actuation force of 40 gf, which increases up to 55 gf. As the product name already suggests, Asus relies on a tenkeyless design. In terms of ergonomics, an optional wrist rest with a synthetic leather surface joins the keyboard, which is included in the scope of delivery and is attached to the keyboard via magnets. In addition, the Ctrl key on the left is twice as large as the standard dimensions, making it easier to reach.

It should be acoustic ROG StrixScope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe not carry too much weight. The keyboard is factory-equipped with an integrated insulation that is supposed to minimize the noise from switches and inner workings when you press a key. The manufacturer includes a quick toggle function and a stealth button among the comfort functions. The latter hides all apps at the push of a button and mutes the audio output.

Other features include a Windows lock key that prevents accidental activation of the Windows key in the heat of the moment, full anti-ghosting and N-key rollover, internal memory for up to six profiles, a battery indicator in the form a ROG logo and on-the-fly macro shots. Asus is asking 178.90 euros for the ROG Strix Scope RX TKL Wireless Deluxe. According to the manufacturer, the keyboard is available immediately.
