In recent years, YMTC’s NAND flash memory has achieved great success, with more and more products, and more and more SSDs with its own Zhizhi (ZhiTi) brand, covering SATA/M.2 and PCIe 3.0/4.0.

In the previous SSD products, YMTC has successively used the main control solutions of Huirong, Yingren, Lianyun and other manufacturers, while Samsung, Micron, SK Hynix, Kioxia (former Toshiba Storage), Solidgm (former Intel flash memory) These leading flash memory manufacturers have their own master control, and YMTC should keep up.

The latest TiPlus 5000 is equipped with Lianyun main control solution

In the PCI-SIG certification database, two SSD controllers of YMTC have already appeared. Among them, “PE310” passed the certification as early as the end of December last year, and “PE320” was just added on May 11.

Both support PCIe 4.0 x4the transmission data rate is 16GT/s, which is obviously aimed at the high-end market.

Although the specific difference between the two is not clear for the time being, according to the usual practicewith a high probability of being distinguished by flash channels, etc.

Interestingly, YMTC’s self-developed flash memory is based onAdvanced Xtacking Architectureits most prominent place is that the interface transmission rate is extremely high, which can reach 3GT/s, far better than the general 1.6-2.0GT/s.

In this way, combined with the multi-channel master control and its own solution, the potential can be better tapped. In the future, the performance of YMTC SSD is limitless!
