Developer SKGleba is bringing the Modoru update to the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV scene.
As you know, Modoru is a utility to downgrade the firmware version of your PSVita, because modoru means “go back” in Japanese. This utility was developed by TheFlow with the help of Yifan Lu who did research on downgrade, Team Molecule (SCE decryption utilities), SKGleba (beta test), Freakler (LiveArea screen) and liblor (original name) .
You can upgrade to any firmware version supported by your PSVita’s motherboard, which means you can install FW 3.60 to 3.65 on almost all PSVita / PSTV consoles except the latest models PSVita 2000 (i.e. those that come directly with FW 3.67 to 3.68), in order to get HENkaku Enso.
This new version 2.3 brings support for firmware 3.74!
As a reminder, your console must already be running HENkaku/h-encore on firmware 3.60-3.74 in order to use this software. not launch the downgrader from an SD2VITA and you must therefore have a memory card (or internal storage). If you have installed IMCUnlock from SKGleba, it is recommended that you uninstall it first before attempting to downgrade to firmware lower than 2.10.
Facility :
– Download and install modoru.vpk using VitaShell.
– Get the PSP2UPDAT.PUP file of the desired firmware (make sure this firmware is officially hackable) and place it at ux0:app/MODORU000/PSP2UPDAT.PUP (don’t install it after modoru.vpk, otherwise the file of update will be removed).
– Disable all your plugins. The easiest way is to rename ux0:tai and ur0:tai to another name.
– Restart your device and relaunch HENkaku /h-encore.
– Launch the modoru app and follow the on-screen instructions.
– Enjoy the installation and welcome to your favorite firmware.
