On May 13, the app appeared on the list of the most downloaded in the iOS app store. A certain Said Akhmedov is listed as a seller, and the description says that these are “applications for instantly entering the Sberbank online site” and that “in the application, accessing the site is much faster” (spelling preserved).
The official representative of Sberbank confirmed to RBC that the application was created by scammers, it cannot be downloaded, and the bank is working on blocking it. He also advised users to be more vigilant.
Recall that the official application of Sberbank has become unavailable for download in the App Store since April 12 due to sanctions. iOS device users can only use the service using the web version.
