In a sixth follow-up news, Yoshi-P again commented on the problems that arose with the housing lottery process in Final Fantasy 14. In it he announced the schedule for restoring the data on the game worlds and also spoke about a voluntary return of the gil price of the plots.
The lottery process used to allocate housing plots in Final Fantasy 14 since the release of Patch 6.1 has caused a lot of excitement within the community. Because of an error, it was possible for the lots with the winning number 0 to be raffled off, which meant there were no winners at all. In several messages to the community, producer and director Yoshi-P has repeatedly commented on the problem and explained how to solve it.
Now he has already dealt with the sixth episode news spoken and confirmed once again that the incorrect lot data on Monday 16 May 2022 are to be restored. This means that all erroneous raffles can be run again and the plots can then be purchased correctly. On May 27, 2022 should finally start the next raffle round. Yoshi-P therefore asks all winners of the current round to purchase their properties by then.
Voluntary Giving of the Gil Prize
Due to the incorrect lottery procedure, there are also many players who have already received their gil back. However, this will not play a role if the incorrect lottery procedure is repeated. Should you still be one of the winners, you will have the chance to voluntarily pay the gil prize at a specially set up NPC. In this way, the developers want to avoid resetting the data or being forced to pay a gil. This could be problematic for all players who have already received their gil back but have spent it elsewhere in the meantime.
