Google has unveiled a new budget phone – the Pixel 6a – and much more hardware at its annual developer conference I/O, and is stepping up to Apple with what it promises is a seamlessly integrated range of devices brought together under one Pixel brand. The Pixel 6a is set to be the entry-level variant of the Pixel 6 family and is scheduled to go on sale from the end of July for €459 or $449. It follows Google’s “a” line of slightly cheaper models.
