With We Were Here Forever, a promising puzzle game that is designed entirely for co-op is currently creeping up to the top of the Steam charts. We present the title in more detail.
Smaller projects on Steam that have flown under the radar during development are always good for a surprise. With We Were Here Forever seems just such a surprise hit to have been released on May 10th. The Total Mayhem Games co-op adventure was already up 5th place in the worldwide sales charts – in terms of software, the game even took 3rd place and was only beaten by Elden Ring and Songs of Conquest.
This is how We Were Here Forever plays
We Were Here Forever is a co-op game, just like its three predecessors – the name doesn’t give it away, but We Were Here Forever is the fourth installment in a series. At the beginning you wake up as a prisoner in a castle located on a mountaintop. The aim is to break out together and reach freedom. On the way out, however, there are a number of puzzles waiting to be solved.
Along the way, a dark story unfolds. Why are you a prisoner in the castle? What forces imprisoned the protagonists here? Working together and brain power is required to unravel the mysteries. Each installment in the We Were Here series can be played independently, but fans will appreciate some connections between the stories.
