Mercedes-Benz is recalling more than 292,000 older vehicles in the US due to a defect that could lead to problems with braking. The German car manufacturer’s ML, GL and R-Class SUVs from the model years 2006 to 2012 are affected. There is the potential for moisture to accumulate and cause corrosion in the brake booster housing unit, which can result in reduced brake performance or failure, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
