Google is now releasing an update for Android Auto where the focus is on how the interface works on different types of touch screens in cars. Split-screen for apps will now be standard for all Android Auto users, which means that they will be able to access functions such as navigation, media players and messages without having to jump between different apps. Previously, split-screen was only available on certain cars, but now it comes to everyone as standard.
Google also says that they are working with car manufacturers to make Android Auto work better on really large screens, such as the screens in the Mercedes EQS.
In addition to the new interface, Google is also rolling out other updates, such as that users will now be able to reply to messages with preset replies that they can send with a tap.
