In today’s “Dead Space” live stream, the developers covered the remake’s visuals in detail. In addition, they announced the exact release date.
As part of an extensive live stream, EA revealed the release date of “Dead Space”. The new horror edition for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC will be available on January 27, 2023.
That the remake at the beginning of next year appears, had been known since March. The exact release date is now fixed. A market launch in autumn 2022 was previously assumed, but gaming journalist Jeff Grubb did invalidated.
Then let’s hope “Dead Space” comes out on time. In any case, the developers responsible believe that the title is now fully playable. So they are in the last phase of development.
Philippe Ducharme, the game’s Senior Producer, shares in the press release stating, “We can’t wait for players old and new to see how we’ve enhanced the original experience in the remake to be just as amazing for this generation.”
Let’s get to the live stream: The development team devoted almost an hour and a half to the visual presentation. Viewers were able to take a look at the new visual effects. Among other things, they were able to marvel at real-time global lighting and volumetric shadows. The immersion of the original could be surpassed by far.
Gameplay passage shows pre-alpha version
Towards the end of the transmission (1:18:35) there was finally a gameplay passage to marvel at. According to Motive Studios, these are technically pre-alpha scenes. However, the development team worked hard for it, which is why they say it is a quality level higher.
Below is the recording of the live stream. A proper gameplay presentation is expected later this year.
