After these adjustments, Studio Display users were able to notice some improvements in image quality, now with more natural colors and improved clarity. However, since the ultra-wide-angle lens sensor is so small, even a software fix isn’t enough to make images look super good.
As of now, Studio Display Firmware 15.5 RC is only available for beta testers. However, Apple has confirmed that once the update is made available to the public, it will be available as separate software – so users won’t need to install macOS Monterey 12.4 before updating the Studio Display firmware.
