Including the sequel, TV series and a Switch version of the remaster.

Alan Wake celebrates its 12th anniversary, and therefore Remedy has given us a small video where they talk a bit about what happens to the brand. In the clip, we see Sam Lake from Remedy as well as the two halves of Alan Wake himself: Ilkka Villi, who lent his appearance to him, and Matthew Porretta, who lent his voice.

To begin with, Villi is sitting and playing something on a Nintendo Switch, which turns out to be Alan Wake Remastered. They have no release date to share, but now we at least know that a version of Nintendo’s laptop is on the way.

Lake goes on to say that it can take a long time to make video games, but that it turns out that TV series can take even longer. He is of course referring to the Alan Wake series they started talking about in 2018. Now it turns out that the AMC has bought the rights to Alan Wake, and now they are collaborating to make the series a reality.

Concerning Alan Wake 2 Lake says again that they are investing more in horror this time, but that they will also explore more of Alan Wake as a person and really push him. Much of the game is already playable, but they have decided not to show anything from it this summer, as they want to let the team focus on development rather than having to produce something that can be shown. So we have to make do with the advertising trailer.

The plan is to Alan Wake 2 will be released sometime in 2023.
