Officially, the TD4160 is used for advanced matrix touch panels, which can drive the touch and display driver integration of HD resolution of a-Si panels.Rendering over 16 million colors based on 720 RGB * 1680 resolution, 256 grayscale, 24bpp digital format, digital pixel processing at display frame rates up to 120Hz. The TD4160 also supports an advanced matrix method for touch screen control, with multi-touch coordinate sensing without ghost points, enabling capacitive sensing human-machine interaction.
Howe said that the TD4160 mainly provides touch and display solutions for small and medium-sized portable devices equipped with color graphics displays such as digital mobile phones and smart phones. The chip adopts a touch and display driver integrated circuit (TDDI) architecture and integrates a boost circuit and a voltage follower circuit to generate the driving voltage and image processing required by the TFT liquid crystal panel, thereby improving image quality and reducing power consumption. And the firmware developed by OmniVision Group can realize automatic conversion between various touch acquisition modes, thereby reducing power consumption and optimizing performance.
