You might think that an SUV should be practical and have good ground clearance, plenty of space and be comfortable to drive around in. But that is not enough for the people who always want more, and that big bullshit should preferably go like a scalded forehead for us to be satisfied. Cadillac has solved all these pieces with Escalade V, which was presented in January. Then we did not find out any yummy numbers but we get it now. And of course, Cadillac has put its most powerful production engine to date in the car. It is a compressor-powered V8 of 6.2 liters that gives 692 horses and 885 newton meters in turn. It is enough to take the 2906 kilo (ESV) heavy asset from 0-100 km / h in 4.5 seconds. The machine is connected to a ten-speed automatic transmission that ensures that the power is transmitted to all four wheels. In addition to mass power, the V is also updated with sharper suspension, larger brakes and lots of luxury on the inside.

Sales start this summer and the price tag is from 149,990 dollars.

Cadillac shows off Escalade V

But skimp on info

Now Cadillac is rolling out a performance version of the big-suv Escalade and it is simply called Escalade V. What we get now are some pictures and video, but unfortunately no specifications. However, the car is expected to have the same engine that sits in the CT5-V Blackwing, which means a compressor-powered V8 of 6.2 liters that produces 677 horses and has 893 newton meters of torque. If this is true, the V version has a full 250 horses more than the strongest Escalade you can buy right now. It will premiere this spring and closer to this, Cadillac will also share more information about the car. In appearance, this differs from the other Escalades by a sportier front, larger air intakes, other rims, large brake discs with red calipers, another rear bumper with integrated diffuser and four exhaust pipes.

Here is the new Cadillac Escalade

Porky has become more porky

Cadillac is not a car that is ashamed of itself and now it has become even fatter. The fifth generation is here and of course is still big, huge, but still feels quite handsome on the inside. The car measures 538 in length and has grown a little crazy 20 centimeters. As you can see in the pictures, it is not a problem to get seven people in, even if they are all tall. But of course there is an even worse version. The ESV version measures 576 centimeters and this is 7 centimeters longer than the previous generation. The width measures in at 206 and the height 195 centimeters. The luggage includes 722 liters in the regular version and 1214 liters in the long version. But if you fold down the rear seats, you get 1784 liters, in the long version 2308 liters. If you also fold the middle row, you get 3089 liters in the regular version and 3585 liters in the large version. It’s enough to move with, type. Of course there is a V8 to get (6.2 liters, 426 horses and 623 in torque) but you can actually get a diesel if you want, then it is a six of 281 horses and with exactly the same torque. On the inside, as I said, it is quite neat and lovely. For the driver, it’s new and nice with a giant arched OLED screen or two really because they are in stock.

Cadillac rolls out the long version of the Escalade

Is 5.76 meters long!

If you did not think that Cadillac’s coolest model Escalade could be cooler, you bet. Now they are presenting the long version with the additional name ESV and this will be the masterpiece for those who want a giant SUV. The regular Escalade, which was presented at the beginning of February, measures 5.38 meters in length, which is hardly a discreet measure. But ESV is a full 5.76 meters long! The wheelbase has also increased from 3.07 to 3.4 meters. The new length gives 18.1 percent more cargo space and you should be able to get up to a sick 3584 liters if you trick away the seats. The ESV is offered with two different engine options and these are a V8 of 6.2 liters that gives 420 horses and 620 newton meters or a turbocharged Duramax diesel six of 3.0 liters that offers 280 horses and 620 newton meters in turn. Regardless of choice, the ten-speed automatic transmission applies, and the model is offered with both four-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive only. The price tag starts at just over $ 80,000.
