Announced at E3 2018 and 2021 respectively and slated for release this year on PC and Xbox Series X|S, Starfieldthe space RPG from Bethesda Game Studios, and red fall, Arkane Austin’s open-world cooperative FPS, have both formalized their postponement. Both titles will ultimately only be available that during the first half of 2023.

Ambitious projects that need time to refine

As explained by the message posted on the official Bethesda Twitter accountthe teams of the American studios made this decision because they “incredible ambitions for these games”. In order to ensure that players are offered the best possible experiences, they need more time to refine them as much as possible. As a reminder, Bethesda previously announced that Starfield would be released on November 11, but that will ultimately not be the case.

Note that the developers also took the opportunity to indicate that of the gameplay of these two productions will be shared ” soon “. Hopefully this is a little teaser for the Microsoft conference which will take place on June 12 at 7 p.m. as part of the Summer Game Fest.
