In the last 24 hours, Apple users from Russia have been massively complaining about an error when trying to pay for applications in the App Store. Several Russian media write about this.

Recall that Visa and MasterCard left Russia in April. Payments from Russian cards of these payment systems became unavailable. Later, the MIR cards also disappeared from the list of compatible ones. As a result, there were only two ways for Russians to pay for an app or an in-game purchase on an iPhone or iPad – buy a gift card in the QIWI service, or use the balance of their phone number. Recently payment via QIWI stopped working.

Last night, a lot of user complaints appeared on the network about the inability to pay for something in the App Store from the mobile phone balance. When trying to pay, an error occurs, and near the numbers themselves, some users received notifications about the impossibility of making transactions.

Comments vary. Someone else can easily use the balance of the MTS number, while Megafon refuses to work. For others, all the numbers in a row “fell off”. There have been no official comments from either Apple or Russian operators yet.

It is curious to note that Megafon and YOTA have disappeared from the page for adding a phone number for paying for purchases. At the same time, Tele2 is still listed as available, although payments from it have not been processed for a long time.
