With the latest system update, Microsoft’s Surface Hub conference system can now be expanded with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs). These can either be permanently installed by administrators or used temporarily by users during a session.

in one blog post Microsoft writes of a “universe of new applications” that will become available through the update on the Surface Hub. That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but in fact PWA support plays a bigger role on this device than on a normal PC, for example, because the Microsoft Store is the only software source on the Surface Hub.

How admins have to proceed to install PWAs via Intune or via a provisioning package, Microsoft has in one support document described. The installed PWAs can then be found in the start menu or in the overview of all apps on the Surface Hub.

Users can also use PWAs that are not installed regularly during a session, just not anchor them permanently in the start menu.
